Cycle Phases
There are four different phases of the menstrual cycle: menstruation, the follicular phase, ovulation and luteal phase. To understand the time it is first necessary to explain the other phases.

Follicular
The follicular phase is the period between the first day of menstruation, passed around ovulation. In this phase, the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is released from the pituitary gland. FSH causes 10 to 20 start for the development of follicles in the ovaries. Developing follicles produce estrogen, which thickens the uterine lining (endometrium) in preparation causes for the possible insertion of a fertilized egg (1). Normally, only one of these follicles matures into an ovum (egg) with other degeneration. The length of the follicular phase can vary considerably depending on the time of ovulation.

Ovulation
Estrogen during the follicular phase leads to a distribution of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). This will increase the pituitaryCommon at this time.

Menstruation
