Why would a Yale key suddenly stop working? - yale key safe
I have a Yale key to my door in the hall and thought to make some copies for an emergency - but now is not working copies. They were properly cut, because it worked before I tried this morning and do not activate the lock. The original still works perfectly. Ideas?

The chopper left the keys can dramatically impact on the locking mechanism.
Try rubbing the new key for use with sandpaper Burr far by the new key.
The "strawberry" is the residue from the abrasion of metals by the chopper left.
Do NOT use WD40 in the locks with graphite. WD40 leaves a residue and gum up the lock term. Sanding lightly take the new key
Used the castle and the new key. If the original still works, then the copies are not correct!

Try to rub gently over a rough surface - a wall of bricks. It worked for me good luck
try to lock is with some WD40 or grease again caress the keys covered with sandpaper too high?
